Millionaire Wedding Singers for Hire

There maybe a world wide recession going on but that doesn’t stop people from going all out for their weddings.  Got a few million dollars to burn?  Then check out this list of this list of the world’s 12 most expensive wedding acts as compiled by the U.K.’s Living TV.

1. Rolling Stones – $8M
I’ve seen them live twice.  They put on a hell of a show.  But $8 million!?  And they’ll only do a 90 minute set if they are already out on tour.  For that kind of cash they better take requests.  It would almost be worth it to see Mick and Keith cover The Village People’s YMCA.

2. Elton John – $2M+
Charges over $2 million for private performances although all earnings from his private concerts go to his charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation.  Can’t knock the guy for giving it to charity.

3. Kylie Minogue – $2M+
Should you really bring in somebody who might be better looking than the bride?

4. Christine Aguilera – $2M
So of that whole crop of 90′s female artists she’s the one with a viable music career and not a TMZ favorite.  Honestly would you even pay a dollar to have Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson “sing” at a wedding?

5.  George Michael – $2M
Unlike Elton John his outfits wouldn’t clash with the wedding colors.

6. Amy Winehouse – $1.5M
Yes, you’ll have to keep her away from the open bar.  Or the cash bar or any booze within 10 miles of the event.

7. Paul McCartney – $1.5M
Paul charges as much as Amy Winehouse!?  All things being even, I’d rather have the late George Harrison perform if I could have any member of the Fab Four.

8. Leona Lewis – $1.5M
Don’t know her.  She won Britain’s “X Factor” TV Show contest. But she must be pretty decent if she edges out J-Lo and charges as much as Sir Paul McCartney.

9. Jennifer Lopez – $1.5M
Again, hmm.  Should you really bring in somebody who might be better looking than the bride?

10. Barry Manilow – $1M
No. No. No.  I don’t want to hear Mandy or Copacabana.

11. Rod Stewart – Under $1M
How could a live performance You’re in My Heart run for under a million?  That’s a bargain.

12. Duran Duran – Under $1M
As much as I like Duran Duran.  I can’t see them doing a wedding reception.
