I’ve been under the weather this week, so stringing together cohesive thoughts has been difficult. I think I’m going to finish off this week’s 80s theme with some memorable commercials that were seared into my brain by wanna be Don Drapers on Madison Avenue.
The ode to the working woman, Enjoli perfume ad featuring Peggy Lee’s “I’m a Woman”. Sing it with me, “I can bring home the bacon/ Fry it up in a pan/ And never, ever let you forget you’re a man.”
The ridiculous hotness of Brook Shields doing Calvin Klein Jean ads.
And of course the ubiquitous Miller Lite Beer ad with the “Taste Great, Less Filling” campaign:
