I was watching BBC America’s election coverage last night. Well, listening to it while puttering about my fabulous apartment and calling all my left-leaning friends. I glanced up just in time to notice John Bolton on the panel.
I thought, “JACKPOT!” John Bolton, you may remember was the guy Bush nominated as UN Ambassador. The main objections by reasonable people to this, was Bolton’s history of being, well, a hot-head and pissing off everyone within earshot. Fast-forward to last night. A BBC correspondent, one of many posted throughout the US and the world, asked about the historical significance of Colorado electing a Democrat in light of the fact that Colorado has gone Republican in nine of the last ten elections.
The interviewee was very annoyed. He pointed out, without actually answering the question, that Colorado has elected several Democrats. He argued that the BBC correspondent did not know his history. This went on for a few awkward moments before cutting back to the main round table. Here’s our former UN Ambassador’s reaction…
